Meet the Owner
Hello! My name is Sara Hickey and I am the proud owner of Bark@Us Pet Sitting. I am a life-long pet owner and animal lover. I have over 20 years experience and inspiration from caring for my fur babies. My love for animals began as a child, and has grown ever since. They have always given me so much joy! Having worked in the corporate world for years, I realized that the time I spent playing with my dogs was the most enjoyable part of my day. Whether we took a walk together or played frisbee or ball in the backyard, we were all so much healthier and happier having spent quality time together. Although I have always owned pets my whole life and watched pets for friends and family, I hadn’t made the connection of just how important and fulfilling pet sitting really was for me. So, I began working on an idea to bring more of those happy moments into my life and the lives of other pets. Although there are several great home-grown, local pet sitters in town already, I discovered a need and an opportunity for another one. I came up with the idea of offering a premiere dog walking/pet sitting service in San Antonio, TX. I firmly believe that there is no better option than home-based pet sitting for pets. Being a pet owner myself, I know how difficult and stressful it can be to find someone you trust who is willing to care for your pets as if they were their own while you’re away. I absolutely LOVE what I do and I have a strong passion for caring for animals and you can relax knowing that your pets will receive all the love and attention they need as if they were my own in your absence. 💕
